HISTORY

Music Theater Conservatory is the result of years of collaborative effort and dreaming by Judy Durocher and Beth Livingston-Hakes. Realizing the power of their combined talents they produced "Broadway Under the Stars", a tremendously successful fund-raising variety show at Horizon High School produced annually from 1995 to 2000. More recently, Beth and Judy have been directing and producing the fundraising concert "A Little Night Music" at Pinnacle High School from 2002 - 2005.

In the summer of 1997 Judy and Beth offered a music theater workshop and followed the next year with a sight-reading camp which in 1999 evolved into a complete "Summer Camp for Singing Actors", (now "Summer Project") a 2 week, intensive program where small groups of students are led to new levels of achievement by experienced performing arts professionals.

In 2001, prompted by a graduate course on Careers in Music, Judy and Beth took the leap to make their dream a reality. Music Theater Conservatory was born to develop and offer the very best in training for the serious student and educator of vocal performance and musical theater.
