SUMMER PROJECT 2008
A two-week summer workshop designed for singing actors grades 7 through 12 who are serious about developing and refining their auditioning and performance skills.
Develop your acting, singing and dancing, and sight-singing skills in an intense two-week program with a student/teacher ratio of seven to one.
Create your own complete audition package with songs, monologue, dance styles, resume and head shot.
Perform selected monologues, scenes, songs and dance combinations in the class recital.
WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?
Beginner: You will develop the foundation of your musical theater talent! You will learn the fundamentals of sight-singing: solfege, rhythm and theory. You will prepare an audition-ready monologue, song, and resume. You will get to test out your new skills at the mock-auditions on the last day of camp.
Intermediate: Moving past the audition you will now begin to broaden and refine your performance skills. You will block, memorize and perform a 2-person scene, learn 2 contrasting songs that fit your voice and personality and learn several Broadway dance styles. You will continue to polish your sight-singing skills.
